On October 2nd and 3rd we attended Meet Magento Romania, the leading conference series worldwide, focused on the Magento platform and its local network, covering all important eCommerce segments, marketing and networking.
Not only did we attend the 2 days of business conferences, dev talks and workshops, but 2 of our PHP fellow evozoners, Constantin and Dan, were also speakers in the Dev Track on Friday and organized a workshop „Performance with Magento” addressed to Magento Developers, on Saturday. Congrats’ to them both for the initiative.
On Friday, Constantin Bejenaru talked for the very first time about Evozon’s FPC Magento extension, a solution that reduces load spikes to normal and makes eShops perform faster. Dan Homorodean presented another one of Evozon’s Magento extensions: an updated catalog search solution. In case you missed their presentations and you’re curious about the full tech stack of our FPC and our Magento search extension feel free to browse them here and here.
During our workshop, “Performance with Magento“, participants were invited to think of solutions and ways in which performance can be improved within Magento. And because active minds perform better in active bodies, after an intense thinking and programming session, the team that came up with the best technically proven solution won the Pegas bicycle.
All in all it was a great event. Ben Marks’ & Val Hrykyan’s presentations from the dev track on Friday were amongst our favorites. On Friday night we all gathered for the already classic 404 Party in Midi ending the event’s first day in fun. We’re really looking forward to next year’s edition to gain even more enticing insights in Magento’s business and development ecosystem.
Evozon is a Magento Silver Partner and we’ve been using it for building and delivering high-quality, scalable and robust online shops. And that’s not all. We’ll soon launch our own Magento extensions shop.
