We’re happy to announce that Robert Masic, our co-founder, has received a White Camel Award for Perl Advocady.
Rob has won the Perl Advocacy award for his and our involvement and support of the Perl community. We are honored to receive this award and happy to contribute to the community as a company and as individuals.
As a Perl company with one of the largest Perl team in Europe we’re happy to continuously support the community and the language itself.
For those who are not familiar with the Perl community or the White Camel Awards, here’s a bit of context:
The White Camel Awards were created and first awarded in 1999 by Perl Mongers and O’Reilly & Associates at the 1999 Perl Conference. These awards represent the recognition of the Perl community for its non-technical members and contributors. There are three categories, Perl Community, Perl Advocacy, and Perl User Groups. Each category represents an important non-technical part of the Perl community as a whole.
Any Perl volunteer can be nominated for a White Camel Award over the course of the year. The awards committee selects three winners and announces them on Perl’s birthday, December 18th.
The awards are managed by the Perl Review together with the Perl Foundation.
Perl has been one of the major pillars of Evozon and will continue to be an important part of our tech stack and services. We are proud to be a Perl fortress and to contribute to many Perl focused companies from across the world.
