Project Description At the heart of the software is an e-commerce application, integrated with the CMS functionality provided by Liferay. Integrating the new solution with a previous, less efficient version,  making it work in parallel and interact with the old one until all its features are fully functional are but a few of the challenges this project has posed. Furthermore, we had to make it distributable and able to ‘host’ around 1.600 shops, while the initial metric requirements are of around 5-700 hits / second.

The Solution
The application is being built on top of the Liferay platform, taking advantage as much as it can of the CMS functionality, but the code base will aim to be JSR-168/286 compliant.

The project steps:
Short ramp-up period, with extensive research on the CMS core, followed by implementation using the Agile methodology.
