Tourism application with game features

Evozon has worked on a Tourism application with game functionalities. This solution allows its users to discover a city by participating in a team game. Every team is given a smart phone and a GPS receiver. The phone displays a map of the city on which the team's next destination is indicated at every turn.

Teams are asked a question or to perform a funny task at each location. For each correct answer or successfully completed task, the team's score will increase and a new destination will be shown to the team.
 

Environmental awareness game

The purpose of this group game is to create awareness of the impact any object that increases our comfort level can have on the environment. CO2 emissions, the main culprit for global warming, are featured in the game as object properties.

The game is fun to play and very popular among people of all ages. Before the game starts each individual player or team gets a mobile phone with the game installed on it.

The phone is connected to the server that distributes location information to all the players. This means all teams will know both their own location and the opponent's locations at any given time during the game.


The phone displays the "playground", which is a 1 x 1 km area of the city. Various virtual objects to be picked by the players are displayed in that area, according to their positions. CO2 emissions are also shown for each object.

To win the game, a team must collect and bring home more environmentally friendly objects that any of its competitors. Home is a predefined location where objects are deposited. Any object that is carried by the team can be stolen, so one big dilemma for the players is whether to deposit one object at a time or groups of objects. Deposited objects cannot be stolen.
